We're roasting our Karatu AA in a NEW medium profile, which makes for a rich, full-bodied drip coffee, or sweet, syrupy espresso shot.

Karatu is one of three wet mills forming part of the Gitwe Cooperative Society of Farmers, Ltd. It is one of the most consistent cooperative producers of quality in our experience. The lot we received is very slightly aged and ideal as a medium roast which brings out the body and richness of the coffee.

Coffee fields grow alongside tea fields at elevations over 6,000 feet. These farmers practice multi-cropping - macadamia, avocado, beans, bananas, peas, sweet potatoes as well as tea.

See George's tour of Kenya.
