The El Cairo Lot 00316 has notes of angel food-tinged passion fruit lit up with aromas of vanilla, balsam fir – pine and wintergreen.

Lucas Melo Pinchao purchased the farm, El Cairo, about 20 years ago and became the first producer to grow coffee at such a high altitude in his area; now there are a lot of coffee farms around him. While not certified, El Cairo has always followed strictly organic farming practices, using only mulch and vermiculture.

The farm has a relatively flat part in the lower areas and then a steeper part in the higher elevations. With an always plentiful waterfall dropping from the hilly slopes of the Galeras volcano onto the farm El Cairo remains verdant throughout the year.
