Las Palomas has produced a very fine coffee for the second year in a row. It is an indigenous group of nine contiguous small farmers averaging 1.7 acres. They are led by Marcos Domingo. The farms are perched on the steep slopes of the Cuchumatanes mountains, overlooking the Pan-American highway, a thousand feet below.

Varieties in the area are Bourbon, Catuaí and Caturra. They have a late harvest due to the altitude, so the harvest season goes from the beginning of March to the end of April. They have two rounds of picking. The coffee is handpicked and sorted by the members of the family and they also do the wet mill. The coffee is dried in their own patios.
