We welcome the return of the 2012 Harvest of La Esperanza from Guatemala which was one of the best coffees of that harvest year! It was so good we kept 200 pounds in our freezer to bring back at a future date. This holiday enjoy La Esperanza's sparkling juicy cup with notes of apple cider, peach and citrus with no trace of age!

La Esperanza is located in San Pedro Necta in Huehuetenango. The annual production average is about 1,200 bags per year. The coffee is wet mill processed, the facilities being on site. The coffee goes through a rigorous process of selection, which starts with picking only very ripe cherries.

La Esperanza enjoys perfect sunlight/rain combination, yielding a rich coffee with chocolate undertones and complex characteristics. This is a medium size farm which has been in the same family for four generations. The love for their land and hard work come through when we drink this coffee. La Esperanza participated in the Cup of Excellence Competition and Auction in both 2001 and 2002.

The 2012 La Esperanza delivers a sparkling juicy cup. Despite the strong fruit accents the cup is very crisp, clean and sweet.
