The Kochere Espresso has a complex weaving of violets and other floral aromatics delivering a deep, syrupy-bodied burst of raspberry and red plum.

A number of years ago Ethiopia created the Ethiopia Commodity Exchange and declared that all coffee enterprises that were not members of cooperatives would have to submit their coffees to the Exchange for prices determined by them. The only identity these coffees would have is one of region. Over time rules have slowly been bent and some privately milled coffees have succeeded in retaining their identity, but most have not. This is the case with our present lot, simply Kochere – the micro-region within the famed Yirgacheffe growing region. After cupping this coffee we could not resist getting this exceptional lot.
